The pup who started it all. Snuggles’ gentle spirit and unbreakable trust inspired the creation of the sanctuary that now carries his name. His love lives on in every dog we care for.

Gentle and affectionate, Daisy has a heart as big as her smile. She loves belly rubs, afternoon naps, and greeting every visitor as if they were an old friend.

Spanky’s tail never stops wagging. Despite a rough start, he radiates joy and loyalty, proof that kindness and patience can turn any story around.

8 Years Old
Once shy and uncertain, Mr. Barks has grown into the resident gentleman of the sanctuary. He loves sunbathing, gentle pats, and reminding everyone that senior dogs still have plenty of love to give.

Our Story
Snuggles’ Sanctuary was founded in 2020 by Kathryn A. Stecco, MD, MA, inspired by a special dog named Snuggles. Though Snuggles has passed, his journey from fear to trust continues to guide the sanctuary’s mission. Today, the sanctuary is a loving home for dogs who have been abandoned, abused, or face special challenges, where every tail wag tells a story of hope and healing. We are committed to honoring his legacy by giving every dog the care, love, and second chance they deserve.
